Will the chilly weather of Foxboro be an issue for the Colts?

The Colts and Patriots face off at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Mass. thisSunday at 3:00 pm. The temperature calls for a high of 29 degrees on Sunday, with a 20 percent chance of rain or snow. Will it be an issue for Peyton Manning and the Colts.
There will be difficult aspects to Sunday's playoff game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots, like New England's defense, their offense and the crowd.

However, many Colts' players say that the weather will not be a factor in the outcome of the game.

"I never ask what the temperature is during a game or after a game," Colts quarterback Peyton Manning said. "People are talking about that, but I think it's going to be about who plays the best on Sunday as opposed to what the weather is going to be."

Colts head coach Tony Dungy said severe weather -- snow, near-zero temperatures or blustery winds -- can affect a game if one team is more run oriented than the other.

However, he said because New England's offense is much like the Colts -- a spread-out, pass oriented scheme -- neither team should have an advantage on Sunday.

The Colts are 8-1 on the road this season, including a 38-31 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday in a divisional playoff game.

The temperature was in the 40s, and that was the coldest game in which the Colts played this season.

The Colts went 2-0 in cold weather games last season, beating the Denver Broncos in the snow and rallying from a 16-0 deficit for a 28-23 victory in Cleveland were temperatures were in the 30s.

Many Colts fans believe that the cold weather won't be the deciding factor should the Colts win or lose this Sunday.

They believe in the blue and white and their quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning is playing at a much higher level than in the past right now, and if the Colts pull out another victory this Sunday, it will be three big games for him, which will, hopefully, silence the critics that say he can't win a big game.
