Teen Drama: Duff vs. Lohan

The ongoing feud between the teen stars began last year when Lohan found out that her boyfriend at the time, singer Aaron Carter, had cheated on her with Duff. Lohan, 17, and Carter, 16, promptly split and then Duff, 16 showed up on Carter’s arm at the premier of Freaky Friday starring Lohan. Needless to say, Lohan was less than pleased which sparked the battle between the two.

"I didn’t mean any harm if I dated him at the same time," Duff says. "I think he cheated on me, and I think he cheated on her…I love him to death as a friend [but] he made it look [to me] like they had broken up." It was also reported that Duff tried to have Lohan thrown out of the after-party last month for the premier of Duff’s movie Cheaper by the Dozen. Again, Duff plays innocent. "I couldn’t even tell you what she looked like at the premier," Duff said. "I think I’ve met her maybe twice. It’s, like, every single time I see her, she starts talking bad about me."

The younger version of Britney and Christina – these girls are not only vying for the affections of the same guy they are battling for fans and roles. Not to mention both girls sing. Lohan sang on the Freaky Friday soundtrack and has a five album deal with Emilio Estefan while Duff sang on the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack and has a deal with Disney’s record label. Each girl is working on three upcoming films. Their rivalry could get in the way of their popularity if they are not careful. Both are talented actresses and singers with a long career ahead of them unless they let jealousy get in their way! Grow up girls!
