Uma Finds Love

Actress Uma Thurman split from her husband, Ethan Hawke, after five years of marriage and his very public infidelity in September. She was linked to director Quentin Tarantino, who vehemently denied any shenanigans between the two –claiming they were just friends. Now it seems that Thurman has actually found love with boutique hotelier Andrea Balazs. The two spent the holidays on the Caribbean island of St. Bart’s. The fun began December 26 when they spent the days on the beach with Thurman’s two children, Maya, 5, and Levon, 2. Eyewitnesses say the couple was very intimate, making out and holding each other.

The couple showed up at Russell Simmon’s holiday house party on December 29. The next night they shared a romantic dinner with Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes and his girlfriend, Meredith Ostrom. An onlooker noted that Balazs "definitely has the glow of someone in love." The couple then rang in the new year at the hip Nikki Beach nightclub at P. Diddy’s private party. Balazs split from his wife, modeling CEO Katie Ford, in July. Balazs is a real estate guru who owns a number of hotels. He and Ford split after 17 years together and two daughters, Alessandra, 14, and Isabel, 9.

Thurman has handled the break-up of her marriage pretty gracefully and, in fact, it has seemed to do wonders for her. She seems to be more relaxed and happy. Maybe the split was just what the doctor ordered. Her five-year marriage to Hawke came to a screeching halt when his affair with 22-year old model Jennifer Perzow became public knowledge. Hawke originally stated that he only cheated because he thought Thurman had had an affair with Tarantino. Come on, Ethan! We aren’t in high school anymore! Uma seems it is time to move on to a real man!
