Gwyneth Paltrow Expecting

After a Screen Actors Guild screening of Paltrow’s latest movie Proof, moderator Lou Diamond Phillips introduced her as "a pregnant woman." He also asked, "How far along are you?" Paltrow said, "Far enough along to feel very cumbersome." Stephen Huvane, Paltrow’s rep, confirmed the exchange on Friday but said that she was not necessarily announcing that she is pregnant. Rumors that the actress was pregnant began back in October after the actress was spotted sporting a bump. During an interview in December, Gwynnie’s mom Blythe Danner let it slip that she was going to be a grandmother again the spring. She also said, "I hope there’ll be more fruits and vegetables coming along since we’re all pretty much vegetarians."

Paltrow met Martin in 2002 backstage after a Coldplay concert at London’s Wembley Stadium shortly after Paltrow’s father passed away. The two quickly hit it off and were married in December 2003. Five months later the couple welcomed their first child, Apple, into the world. Paltrow has said, "The most euphoria I have ever experienced was having a baby."

Paltrow took a step back from Hollywood after giving birth to Apple. She said in an interview, "I could not have fathomed working Apple’s first year." She is slated to appear in a couple of movies in 2006. She will appear in Running with Scissors, based on a true account of a very dysfunctional family, and Infamous about the 1959 murders of a wealthy Kansas family and Truman Capote’s investigation into their deaths. She also made her directorial debut on the short film Dealbreakers with friend Mary Wigmore.
