Fading Smiles

I like it. Soon your photographs will fade away...
Soon your photographs will fade away
with the memory of
your smile
you will just be a tangible thought
there will be nothing left
but the specter of its warmth
your smile
I shall cry
trickling tears wash away
your face
your smile
just the visions of you
will have to do
I will close my eyes
think not of the emptiness that
surrounds me
awaits me
when I wake
I believe I can go on
without you
I can't do anything
but I'm not alone
in the comfort of my memories
you are there besides me
my energy
your lips
remind me of no
what I couldn't do
I won't see
I wont feel
I can't over some these thoughts
feelings
even tough I'd like to
I'm gonna get there
someday soon
until then
just let me drown
in your smile
before it fades.
