It’s only at the time of make-up application can the uneven surface of the skin being most annoying! Its also ironical that even though you’re endowed with the best type of skin, you pay more to get hold of those expensive foundation creams and lotions and concealers for hiding everything under layers of make up.

Some Tips for maintaining that glow on your skin
Be sure that you have enough water throughout the day. Even while working, water allows your skin to be hydrated in a temperature that usually an air-conditioned one. The A.C. dehydrates your skin of its essential oils making you look dry. Regular intakes of water not only ensures that you get your eyes off the computer screen, and have trips to the loo; it also ensures that your vision is set rightly as given a situation where you hardly drink water, its quite likely that you would be glued to your chair and increase the number of your eyes in the bargain.

Water comes to the rescue, giving you dual benefits for both your skin and to your endocrine system. Here are some of the tips that might be beneficial for your skin type. These are essentially meant for a combination type of skin that you might have rarely come across. More often than not, there are scores of do’s and don’t for oily and dry skin, never as many instructions for a combination skin. So here goes:

* Use a mild cleanser on your entire face up to twice a day.

* Use a good moisturizer on the dry areas. - Moisturizers work by either increasing the penetration of water into the skin or by reducing the rate at which water is evaporating from the skin surface.

* Look for products that normalize your skin, such as those that contain alpha hydroxy acids. Most alpha hydroxy acids are derived from fruit, milk and sugar cane and have anti-inflammatory properties. When applied to the skin they help remove dead skin cells (exfoliate), giving you a younger appearance.

* Use oil-absorbing makeup on oily areas to control shine.

* Use a sunscreen, minimum SPF 15

As far as possible, avoid using soaps for your skin. Try using body and face washes. Have lots of fruit. Fruits have this innate quality of being readily available and providing you with almost everything that most cooked vegetables don’t give you. If possible make it a habit to eat fruits when you’re hungry and adhere to having seasonal fruits, they wash out all impurities within your system adding that extra glow to your skin. The skin is prone to attracting impurities so its best if you could cleanse your face especially in the night and apply a good moisturizer before you retire in bed for the night. The next morning you could be pleased to know that your rejuvenated skin glows best in the morning.
