Sounds like if you're a fan of Sole you automatically must work for them. That's a joke, the fact is they make good products. I've had my F80 for 2 years and there hasn't been a single problem with it. That's more than I can say for my pro-form. |

I bought a Sole F80 4 years ago, and I would happily buy any product they make. They have been great for me. I have only needed to call their support department once in 4 years to buy lubricant, and they were prompt and responsive.
I use the machine every other day, and it has run like a champ since day one. People are always quick to write their negative feelings and speak out of emotion. I can't say about other peoples experiences, but I am a big fan of Sole. |

That is so true about the warranty! I bought a Body Solid Elliptical from Bayou Fitness and the warranty is a lifetime warranty on everything! Definitely a product I put my trust in.

The sole E95 assembly instructions are some of the worst I've experienced, that includes Sauders components. The exploded assembly views are not on the same page as the instructions or the parts diagrams, which makes the process much more difficult than it need be. There is a distinct lack of precision with regard to fit. You will need a rubber mallet and some counter weights to assemble the track to the base. Many of the holes that are tapped into metal parts do not mate up with the plastic parts being attached to them, causing warpage of the plastic parts. I broke the wheel cover off trying to align the second hole to the tube. The display panel has been oversold. Its functionality is limited at best. The unit comes with a heart monitor that attaches to your chest with a flexible strap. The battery cannot be changed without the smallest of phillips head screw drivers, similar to an optical or electronic set. I am not sure everyone has such a screw driver just laying around. THe until does glide smoothly and is stable. I did not buy the unit for myself and as such would say that you would be better off spending your money on a gym membership where you can utilize a more robust unit along with the other fitness equipment that a facility will offer. This home gym stuff is just garbage, and may be more likely to ihjure you than improve your fitness. |

I am not happy with my Sole E25 elliptical trainer, or with the warranty service. After 4 weeks of use, it developed a habit of the wheels jumping off the track and making a terrible grinding noise while digging a groove out of the track. I called the 866-MYSOLE1 number this morning and got a recording asking for my information and promising a callback. I left my number and other info, and have not heard back from them yet, five hours later.
Yes, this is their low-end machine, but it cost me a thousand bucks, I bought it direct from Sole, it doesn't work, and I can not get a human being at Sole to help me. For the record, I am 6'3" and 195 lbs, and I have cleaned the machine, tightened all bolts, and checked the level (it's right on). Your reviews encouraged me to buy it, and I thought you would like to know that I feel like Sole has left me high and dry. |

In fact, I do not work for Sole, but I use to work for Smooth Fitness. Sole was a competitor that deserves recognition for quality products and the best warranty in their price range. If you notice I have an article about Landice treadmills, where I am equally complimentary. |
