Rebecca Banning gay marriage will not solve anything, one thing is the punishment. if you send a gay man to prison for marrieing gay, then look where you put him. in a cell with other men, where he can practice what he was sent to jail for. its illogical. Also, why is gay marraige a bad thing? Does anyone really have a logical answer? if you say that it is because of the constitution, and that the constitution was based on the bible, that is mixing church and state which in itself is unconstitutional. Why should gay coupes not have the right to be married? i believe that there is no reason for it. The punishment would be illogical, as would be the law itslef. Gay marriage should not be illegal, it is the same as a straight couple getting married, just adding one gender, and subtracting another. The reason for marriage is still there, the love is still there. Making gay marriage illegal, you might as well make gay love illegal. 6/17/2008
Anonymous I think it was a relatively great action by president bush. I do understand, and accept, that marrige is defined as the protective institution deriving wholely of a man and a woman jointly; therefore, it is only necessary that it be kept as so. 6/5/2006
