Marie what if your dog is having some of the symtoms but u have to wit a week to be able to check and see if your dog really has worms. would it be too late that they would be really bad and not able to tke care of or would it be ok and your dog will be fine and the worms will be able to be treated? 6/20/2008
JenJen My 6 week old puppy has round worms and we bought a liquid dewormer and he still has them I even gave him another dose the next day and he still has them. What to do now? 6/15/2008
Anne Whip worms-Cleaning the yard with a safe cleaning agent will not work! Whips are highly resistant to most anything since they are encased in a shell! Lime is your best bet and still you are running a high gamble! Only way to keep dogs free of whips is a triple worming 3 weeks apart and putting your dog on Inceptor or Sentinel! These meds work on heartworm and all worm infestations in dogs! 6/9/2008

tyrone my lab (9 months has had all the vacination treatments as of 08/31/07 withthe monthly oral heartworm tablet...we are experiencing reocurring worms in her stool...looks like a half inch moving white worm....sems like the tapeworm...we've treated her twice so far with a dewormer powder and the evict (liquid), but the worms return within a month....we are now preparing to inject her with the recommended 1ml dose of IVOMEC.....which we purchased from a local animal/livestock store. we were warned not to overkill or the dog may die.....we are told from supplier that this cattle/swine medicine will kill all 5 types of worms....what do you think...901-859-5494...tyrone 10/13/2007

Amy Little White worms that look like rice are called tape worms. They can only get these worms by ingesting a flea, so go to your vet and get a Dewormer and Flea Prevention. They can make your pet vomit and not want to eat. Also can make a pups stomach swollen.Long worms that look like spaghetti are called round worms. I work at a vets office. 8/30/2007

Vonda In our section on whip worms you all stated how not to reinfest our dogs:

Along with administering heartworm medication regularly, here are other ways to prevent reinfection:
* Clean yard with a safe cleaning agent (which kills worms)

What are the cleaning agents you are referring to for my yard? I can't seem to find any available.
Thanks,
Yorkielover
