Hi Eric, I sometimes take too much for granted, and you're right - I should have
explained further the benefits of 'Tag & Ping'. I was keeping the full details
for another article devoted entirely to Tag & Ping' marketing. Basically, what I have found with using Tags - you get your keyword or keyword
phrase indexed immediately with links back from all those high PR sites like Technocrati
and other popular sites. This helps with your ranking in Google and other search engines.
I have found using free php blogging software like Wordpress - where each category is treated as a tag - helps me rank high for those keywords. Ranking high for keywords means more traffic and more sales ;-).
Hope this explains 'Tag and Ping' just a little bit more.

Hi Titus, thanks for this nice article.
I'm still not sure I get how Tag and Ping work. What are we supposed to do with links like the one you propose? Clicking on it would open the Technocrati web site with the "computer" tag, but how does it help promoting your site?
