| Lynn Daley | This is a wonderful article and just what I have been looking for! I have dealt with a tremendous amount of emotional upheaval in the last few years and I feel this has given me a place to start to clean up the mess and find myself again. Thanks! | 12/30/2010 |
| Kelvin Ng | Thank you, Lana Christian, for this article on How to declutter your life. Please let me know where to locate your other written articles. Thank you, Kelvin Ng | 12/22/2010 |
| Chuck | Truly an eye-opener. When we browse the internet for "decluttering our life", we end up with dozens of articles on how to organize our timetable, or how to sort our wardrobe. What your article highlights is that, by clean our sock-drawer, we do not treat the disease itself, but rather the symptoms. Letting go is far more important. | 12/5/2010 |
| fibecks62 | Excellent article on decluttering your life. A totally different perception to so many others I've read and I'm of the opinion that this just might work! | 12/2/2010 |
| Lisa M. | I think you are right on. The attic of our minds needs to be cleared free first, then the attic in our homes. Besides, 10 years from now, it won't matter whats around, if we don't have our mental health. | 11/17/2010 |
| Pamela | This article was so brilliant. It was true for me. Though I do need to declutter, I spent my entire adulthood spending money thinking posessions would make me accomplished and fill the voids, only to now think getting rid of the cumbersome clutter would free my frustrations. I acknowledge in reading this article I have a deeper focus to work on and the decluttering of material possessions is only a part of it. Thank you, I was aware of this, but I centered my focus incorrectly and it's refreshing to READ about it. | 11/10/2010 |
| Willy Holmes-Sp | Willy Holmes-Spoelder, Kaya Koyu, Turkey, Thursday, 23rd September 2010 I am wondering just how everyone who read the topic decluttering your life is doing these days. What I wrote about decluttering, either as a brief essay or as a comment on somebodys website: meanwhile dating as far back as early in 2007: decluttering, just as housecleaning NEVER STOPS, and it does not disappear either. I was going through my online efforts as willy holmes-spoelder, just to see what I had been busy doing until now and of course or - wow - it is still there, came by this particular production of mine. So I read it again. Good stuff, important topic, not particularly how I wrote, but overall. I only registered with buzzle recently, after I added more words, somewhere in July. The summer has gone, the Equinox (transision) took place without any unusual events, the non-stop days in the Artic countries are turning into a better day/night division relieving those living there of enormous stress, exposed to non-stop and nearl non-stop daylight for about 3 months. And soon the DST clock is activated again, about 5 weeks to go - wintertime we call it and how does it all feel and add up with me, with you, with everyone living one life and going through this? DECLUTTERING? it never goes away, what to do everyone knows and also everyone gets nauseous, bad-tempered, tired by the very though: I have to do this. I am no exception! But ever since this decluttering as an issue got my attention, I have tried to practice what I preach (and what I write about mostly always is based on how I feel, what happened and happens in my life. I nearly wrote: what happens to me - which sounds a bit spineless, as if I do not have a say in the matters of my life, which I do. DECLUTTERING YOUR LIFE: I am thinking at the moment, as I am writing here whereas it is meant as a comment to the article: I feel that I probably shall have to tackle this issue a lot better, by writing my own articles, always as DECLUTTER YOUR LIFEas if it is meant to be knitted and crocheted together, with rows and rows of index topics - to have and to hold as a useful book. Even Q / A's. why not. I read above some comments slightly complaining: that this was not the issue, or a comment referring to the article and rightly or wrongly: as long as there is human life on our planet, no matter how much ingeneous scientists are busy inventing clever robots and what not: in our lives, your, mine, our loved ones: for many many decennia to come: DECLUTTERING shall never run out of fashion!. Not even how someone can & should go about this too! Really AMAZING, when you stop to think about this: it shall always remain an important issue IN EVERYBODY's life - even when someone is rich (and) famous and has a string of domestic helpers making life easier. Therefore: anyone interested: why don't you check from time to time, of course also on this buzzle site and just as a Google search engine tag, and see what comes up, including everything which is already available on The W.W.W. I shall always PUBLISH with the topic DECLUTTER YOUR LIFE, and I am (always) Willy Holmes-Spoelder, with regularly updated profiles. I also do a fair amount of publishing at SCRIBD (willy holmes-spoelder) mostly about health, physical, spiritual (=actually also a physical issue AND NOT A RELIGIOUS ONE), mental, emotional, psycho-somatical, behavioural. Also I recommend what I find interesting, and I create essays with nice covers that look attractive I am happy that I am able to do what I have managed to do so far, a woman, non-technical, without unlimited or limited funds and credits to hire external help being an ONLINE individual. I opened my first email address - done for me by the technician who helped me to go and go for it on 5th September 2005. Wow! Google had hardly come off the ground, the Wikipedia did not contain much, my technician really had never heard of it when I asked, and so much more has been added, increadible. What does that have to do with the article here? Everything ! Working with PC's, notebooks, iPhone's, i or Apads-pods, Kindle, it has become an issue of HEALTH, FITNESS, LEARNING TO D E C L U T T E R ! Believe it, even should you be sceptical, bored (with me & my words), irritated, irritable which means you have too much on your plate, KIDS included aka no exceptions = young/older/oldies. DECLUTTERING could even become the single most important issue of the 21st Century, and for many more centuries to come as well. Bye bye and see you somewhere on Internet, hopefully reading my stuff. |

| Willy Holmes-Sp | Dear Lisa, I am reading this article of your again!now 1st July,2010, vs first time on 17th February,2007. DECLUTTERING YOUR LIFE! It can be read, advise can be used 100 - 200 - and more years later, because it is an overwhelming (ugly) issue that can really throw you off-track for a long time, even paralize you, make your brain stop working. It had my attention over 3½ years ago, and browsing through the searchengine I found it again. One of my very first comments online (a shaky affair, when you're so new to something) and NOT at all something getting me *the Pullitzer prize* for excellent prose. My apologies for that. My experience as a *health-practitioner* since 1989 does enable me to *have an opinion* to give professional advise and I am sorry if my first comment might not have been of much use to others. Sincerely, Willy Holmes-Spoelder To be found in the searchengine, Google is best, with lost of useful stuff - published. Also quite a bit under my Twitter username *emofreeze* is available, and on that site a link to my Google profile/bio and more links there. Please click/check to get familiar with me and who I am. What I have published gives an impression what I am interested in. |

| Willy Holmes-Sp | As recent as 5/16/2010 (Lisa) and as *ancient* as my comment on 2/17/2007 *Decluttering your Life* really is an issue *active* without losing its significance, its importance. What I wrote (2.17.2007) lightyears ago in ONLINE-time, in Decluttering-your-life: I can honestly add now: Boy did I get on with that job myself - even succesfully. How to achieve this: step-by-step, never letting go of your DECISION to declutter what you *passionately* want to discard/leave behind you 100%: Just KNOCK IT INTO YOUR SKULL:mentally, physically. Remind yourself of the saying that *even a donkey does NOT knock his/her head on a brick wall twice*. And consider therefore yourself - still *cluttered*(again making the same mistak- more stupid than that lovely creature. It works, but often it is helpful, even essential to get an EXPERT in . The OUTSIDER sees more, has a completely neutral, unbiased approach to your clutter. As an example: a professional PACKER/mover of home&contents, they just roller-coaster on, whereas the one (emotionally involved) finds it very difficult to make a decision: keep/in the trashcan. With determination/training yourself to stay cool, calm, collected: the satisfaction, relief, ability to take in FRESH AIR is your reward. P.S. I am much better now *with being online*. Sincerely, Willy Holmes-Spoelder Also found in the SE under *emofreeze* and from there you can have a look what I have published meanwhile. |

| willy | Willy Spoelder again, and my last comment on DECLUTTERING YOUR LIFE went through again. Pff, what a way to comment, if you cannot type your comment and have it submitted with one push of the submit button. I wanted to tell everyone who might be reading something about DECLUTTERING YOUR LIFE that apart from what happens when you do not have the GOOD habit to declutter on-a-daily-basis, i.e. flush your toilet every time after you, yourself have used it which also goes for children and TRAINING them to do so you might NEED HELP. The posted article that I found and through which I found the "what do you think", send a comment facility of this website, which appears to be dealing with much more, was my reason for doing this. And I mentioned: check your emotional status and should you DECIDE, for instance that this (status) is somewhat shaky then I urge you, really to visit the site which tells you all about emotional FREEDOM, not a bad thing to possess. There is one man on the planet who had the insight or courage to dive further into this issue - of emotional problems, and of course psychological ones, all connected and who is responsible for an entirely NEW approach to all that nastyness. EFT for short, lots of sites of EFTpractitioners, but to start with BEST to read everything your eyes can handle on the founder of this new method ´s website His name is GARY CRAIG, the letters EFT stand for emotional freedom techniques, emofree for short, and the short name - emofree - you shall be able to find to find yourself a qualified practitioner - therapist GLOBALLY. Having said that, hoping this text shall go through, and an enery therapist mysef, already with a solid practice and clinic long before EFT came into existance, meanwhile also a level ONE - EFT practitioner since April 2006, I can realy recommend using these wonderful techniqes DECLUTTERING and it does not matter which form of decluttering you DO want to attack, with EFT you shall make excellent progress getting GRIPS n yourself. So bless the founder Gary, bless his persistence to lift emortional freedom to levels of professionalism, not known and check it out as soon as you have established, as I DID, that YES indeed I could do with just that... for me it was emotional freedom, and as far as DECLUTTERING goes, I was always quite good at it, but not good enough, there is always room for improvement, specially when someone has become as determined is I became. With greetings and warm best wishes for a decluttered existence, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and ECONOMICALLY, sincerely yours |

| willy | willy again here, so far so good as far as getting my comment posted. The reason why I began commenting at all, in the first place was the topic DECLUTTERING YOUR LIFE, and on t his nice website the faciity for comments, feedback. DECLUTTER your life and what a great topic to write about indeed I said how I had managed "to get my life back", so to say and the content of my first attempt, which was NOT accepted was really full of the best, no bad words or language, no spelling mistakes as far as I had been able to establish, no commercial intentions -- for myself that is- or rather now THAT WAS - I have changed my mind-- praising a few things right into heaven and so on. So I became annoyed - lets use such a low key word for expressing how I felt after all my efforts and still not being able to submit my comment, always when I am obstrucked doing something really good and worthwhile I become like a pitbull terrier until I succeed. bye |

| willy | by the way again, lets see if this works, if you want to talk to me personally why do you not check in the WHOIS of a business selling and maintaining domains. I usually go to one called DomainSite. There is the column whois at the top, you go into it, then you type the name you want to research, in my case - sanocompleta and then after a few seconds, right side you will see which names are available or have already been taken. Then you scroll the page and you shall see who OWNS the site, with full address and even telephone number. In my case somehow 252 was left out being the areacode of Fethiye located in Turkey. So if this gets accepted and you want to check, the international entry, the country code-listed- then the number of the area as already given in numbers above three digits and then the last number, my phone with seven digits And I listed myself fully like that, as if I was registering myself with the chamber of commerce or local police., wishing to set up an OPEN something, still something went wrong I discovered recently, checking, and returning to DECLUTTERING YOUR LIFE, would it not be nice if people became an awful lot more EFFICIENT bye again |

| willy | by the way, prior to these first commments I wrote a much longer one which did not meet with some requirements apparently. I checked, double checked and still it kept telling me, try again. I nearly left this site but persisted despite getting extremely irritated because I could not see what else I had done wrong. Lets see if this goes through although it has no bearing on the issue at hand being the topic close to my heart of decluttering your life and your house and including yourself. | 2/17/2007 |
| willy | my last comment went through, saw and read it and noticed not anyone since 7/12/2006 felt like commenting on this extremely important issue. I am amazed | 2/17/2007 |
| willy | hi, DECLUTTERING, specially your house, your life and THE HOUSE IN WHICH WE LIVE being the B O D Y, is the best someone can specialize in. I have made it my business, uncommmercially, and what a long way one gets if one is so inclined. |

| Resting easier | Loved this article, it finally addresses what really clutters our lives, our worries...of course maybe we really don't need so many material possessions either. Thx. | 7/12/2006 |
