N. Faulhaber 1. The article does not link process management to six sigma, as promised on the headline.
2. Six Sigma had been developed hugely during the last years in many companies, although the 3.4 defect measure is still the same. if you limit it to the statistical base, you do not have understood the real power of six sigma. sorry to say that.
3. the cost of implementation are not that high because you can achieve a ROI of 1:3 and more. So it's more an investment than cost if you apply it right. if you compare it against all the wasted projects and meetings today the ROI is still higher!
4. Discipline and patience going through measure and analyse is required - but very hard for businesses who always rewared actionism and fire-fighers as the real business heros. the is a mind change required - the true reason for senior management attention.
