I agree with you, but I want to take this further... you really have to give up all foods that raise your glycemic index... that means ANYTHING with wheat in it..crackers, breads, pasta, cookes.. etc... and I mean anything... and pasta, potatoes, rice, grains... and also too much fruit... if you eat too much fruit at one sitting, it raises your glycemic load and here comes the acne again.... so watch your fruit intake... dried fruit is the highest sugar content.. bananas, grapes( too many) and watermelon are just some to watch out for. Also , things like squash, parsnips, carrots.. in high quantities.. can even mess up your skin... so... basically stick to lean meats, fish, fresh green veggies.. olive oil... raw nuts... it's hard, but you CAN cure your acne with diet! |

Supplements are also very important in treating acne. ClearComplex by Purivol is a good one. |

Fantastic!!! I've been suffering from acne since I was 8 and have searched and searched for a good treatment (with no help from my family or friends). I have always thought that acne mostly developed because of the body’s inability to release toxins properly. -Toxins from processed food, excessive hormones, toxic environment etc.- I have also always known that the kidneys and liver are a HIGE part of releasing toxins. And I have come to the conclusion that acne my be passed down not by some "genetic formula for acne" but a bad liver that "runs in the family". (I will not go into detail) Anyway, I found this article and did some more research. I started my "diet" recently and so far have seen some pretty good results. So, basically, thank you for writing this article! |

many people suffer from acne problems and this is mainly due to bad skin hygiene and food habits as well.i have seen that those who take greater care of their skin and use proper face creams and wash, they have seen great improvments.but what many people ignore is what causes acne. |

Hey Foras my names Jason and I experience some extreme facial acne.I restlessly complain that diet does play an integral part in the development of acne but I,m being told its nothing but a myth.Maybe I,m biased because I suffer from it and I,m obliged to agree but still everytime I eat something acidic the following day seems to bring further skin agitation.I firmly agree with you on everything you,ve said and I,d like to say thanks for posting this article and for providing those helpful little tips on how to prevent further acne arising. Thanks |
