Many sites sponsoring this seem to flash like a neon warning sign with the vast majority of their comments in approval, throwing down the gauntlet, challenging you to attack either their "patriotism" or "faith"...(constitutionally unassailable, privately personal, chameleon to the hue of issues, ever body's banner from Bill O'Reilly to Ted Kennedy), a minefield of no-win possibilities to be sure. My personal reaction is a kind of creepy awe that particulate body matter of 3,000 victims has been recast in a recyclable material... maybe that's the "reverence" spoken of in the piece?......and that material has been cast into a vessel for killing others as a protest against their being killed?.... and as a tribute to the memory of these victims of an act of war to vow continued war to somehow honor them?......and to drag their ashes and remains from one theater of war to another to witness killing field after killing field to somehow simulate a macabre "immortality" and omnipresence?... This is the secular religion of flag-and-spear, desperate for anything that stirs its loins and creeps its skin, to call it a "spiritual moment"... and the devotee is deemed noble rather than pathetic? There are those who need this manure. Christians do not... and God help those ...especially "conservatives" who have forgotten the distinction between Christ and America.... and the distinction between belonging to the One or the other. Most importantly, the One Whose world this is gives ample testimony to all this saber-rattling and the "raging of the nations" (Ps. 2:1) with Scripture's shortest phrase, uttered twice; the first time over the apostasy of His people and their City and the second over the death of His beloved friend: Flevit Jesus. Jesus wept. Over 9/11 and all its tributaries... Jesus wept. Over death of the innocent... Jesus wept. Over the malice of fanatics... Jesus wept. Over building a warship with human cremains as quarters to a vessel of revenge painted as "patriotism"... Jesus wept. And over Christians who still believe they can cry out "war" and the "Our Father" with the same mouth. And over pew-warming Christians who still believe they can sing the Star Spangled Banner in church. And over those who still think their war mangling of the Gospel is somehow justified by the Christ they swallow in the breaking of the Bread. Jesus weeps! Jesus weeps! Jesus weeps! Question is, which is the greater tragedy: 9/11 or the response?

Hey, give us a picture. I think that picture above is no 'amphibious assault ship'. That looks like some kind of battleship. It doesn't look like anything that is going to get near a sand beach. |

How come there is not a ship to commemorate the Persian Gulf War like the USS Persian Gulf , USS Straits....? We need to have the something that commemorate Armed Forces who have been in this area since 1978 with IRAN to 2006 with IRAQ. |

It's a pity the media isn't reporting on the fact that the steel debris from Ground Zero was removed illegally before being forensically tested. America deserves to know how tampering with evidence at the scene of a crime such as the attacks of 9/11 can be dismissed by the media and general public. The steel was treated as garbage rather than evidence, as reported by Bob Manning of Fire Engineering Magazine. Therefore, the investigation into the attacks as well as the building collapses is an outrageous fake. Wake up America! |
