Eq Atkins isn't bacon 24/7

I eat the same as my wife except I skip certain foods. If you think about it most meals are Protein+Vegetable+Carb ... just skip the carb ... how is that healthier than "skip the protein"

Chinese food - You can eat everything except the rice
Fried Chicken - Don't eat the breaded skin or gravy+potatoes
Chicken, Noodles, and vegetables - Don't eat the noodles

If someone can explain how Broiled Chicken and Broccoli is unhealthy... I'll go back to eating Bread and other heavily processed foods.

AMast Interestin... think of the few people who actually stick to a low carb diet in America and then think of the many Americans eat a "low fat" high carb, moderate protein diet and yet close to 50% of them are overweight and/or obese and have cholesterol problems anyways! My point? The majority of Americans ARE NOT on Atkins and yet still have heart problems. Sure, there are a small percentage of americans that 1) are genetically gifted and 2) are very carefully balancing their diet (including low-carbers). But a good chunk of Americans are overweight and NOT ON ATKINS. Good point, eh? 9/17/2008
Tom Riske This article is complete rubbish and you totally ignore the hundreds of studies by doctors who confirm that not only is Atkins healthy but it lowers cholesterol. I personally lost 80 pounds on Atkins, kept it off now for 8 years, no problems at all. My doctor is very impressed. 9/5/2008
