i've been playing WoW for acouple of years now and id have to say it is one of the greatest games ive ever come across...it is extremely time consuming and engrossing, also you never really never run out of things to do whether it be making gold, doing a quest, grouping with your friends, talking, buying stuff at the auction house, leveling, even player versus player to pit yourself against another human in a competition of wit and strategy this game has endless possibilities and to blizzard im going to have to tell them to keep up the great work love your game! |

Everyone is making a big deal how Blizzard is crap cause they made a great game and it's addictive. But really it's your problem playing the game so much. No one put a gun to your head for you to sue Blizzard for making a great game. So quit bothering Blizzard and check yourself once again is it Blizzard's fault that you guys don't have a life and only play 24/7... |

Well, I bought this game along with a 3 month subscription card, and I barely play it. I've owned it for 6 weeks but I've only logged 15 hours on it. And that's including that my friend comes over and plays it. The longest session I go in for is 2 hours before I become too bored to continue. I find this game very boring and not very enthralling at all. However this is just my opinion. |

Yes wow is very addictive. Some people say you have to have an addictive personality and if there was not wow you would be addicted to something else. Well, I was not addicted to anything and i've tried it all. Wow was my first addiction. Speaking with friends confirms they are like that.
There are things in the game that make you addicted over time. By time you know it years have gone by and you find out your addicted. Then it's hard to get out of it.
You can't be a casual gamer in this. The goal of life is to do things to complete them. Would you build half a shed and be happy? Would you eat half your dinner each day? Would you watch half a tv show? The goal is to complete the game and it never ends. New stuff is always being added and you have to be on top, if your not you lose at arenas, battlegrounds and are not accepted into raids. The game is social so you have to fit in to be included in things. This all takes many hours. |

I am a wow player myself and try to analyze why wow was so addictive. I must say i really agree with you. this is a very nice theorie, no online rpg can match the power of wow and i do believe it is quite dangerous for our society, good as the game is, it still is dangerous. |

The game is so addictive that when I restricted my sons access , he became violent and destroyed thousands of dollars worth of furniture. He even hit his mother. This resulted in having to call the police and an ambulance. The hospital had him legally committed to a psych ward for 5 days. The game can not be controlled by parents. Any child can by a game card and and install it, lying about there age and paying though a store bought card, Since he set up the password and the account name Blizzard won't do a darn thing to restrict or delete the account. His grades dropped in school significantly and he has developed anti social behavor. Parents... please note that this game can be very dangerous to your childs mental health. Blizzard soes not do much if anything to allow real control as to the amount of time a child can play. They limit by time period instead of a number of hours over a period of time. If any parents are interested in attemptinga class action law suit, please add a comment here. |

LOL this is true WOW is the most addicting game in the world. It has good friendly people online, you u get so caught up in the game you loose track of time, and when you have to get off every chance ou have you want to get back on...... however thats where you have to restrict your self..... I am not good at that..... the game is never ending I have a lvl 70 (top lvl) and i just do PVP and look for better iteams. som efriends of mine play it and if your not carful it can take over your life.... (no joke) |
