Italian architects in Bangkok – monuments to their artistry

Italian architects, Annibale Rigotti and Mario Tamagno came to Bangkok at the turn of the 20th century to embark on a venture over the next two decades that was to leave magnificent landmarks in the city. Their masterpieces include a throne hall, two palaces, a library, a church and Government House.

erlthk Dear Mr Hempel,

I must apologise for the very late reply.

The Hua lam Pong Railway Station was attributed to Mario Tamagno. I'm unable to state categorically that he was the only architect involved.

There were many projects by the Italian architects that were done jointly and sometimes the records are not specific.

Once again, sorry for the late reply and I wish you all the best in your work.

Regards,

Eric Lim

Mr A. Hempel Please I would like to know if Mr. Tamagno was the designer and architect of Hua Lampong Railway Station, or if he only worked on it on a collaborative project with other architects.

Please reply me soon, vedett@dds.nl
I am writing an essay on Hua Lampong Station.
Thanks you.
Mr A. Hempel
