My son is schitzophrenic. He is 31 yrs and has been lost for five years now. When he was a small baby he looked at me like it was the devil himself looking at me and it scared me to death. He became sick with schitzophrenia at 16 but I believe he also had symptoms at 3. I have had conversations with the demon who possesses him and when I plead the name of Jesus the demond left and my son didn't remember any discusions. He claimed to be lead by two individuals who told him what to do. When I anointed the doors in my house my son said we were just playing games. (This was the demon speaking). My son told me about things in my family that happend over 400 years ago. ONLY RESEARS reveared these were true. How did he know these things. He knew nothing about a computer. I looked up the Jason Society and it showed photos he drew for me. He couldn't have ever seen these photos to duplicate theM. |

My thoughts about possessions and demons and such, is that its all the power of the human brain. With enough belief in one thing it is possible that it will happen. If someone believes strong enough that they are possessed by a "demon" it will happen just because their brain is playing that illusion on them. People who are atheist don't have this problem because they don't believe in it. So if Demons were some type of real creature it would only be allowed to possess those who give it power by BELIEVING that it has the power to actually control you. That is just another scenario. The brain is stronger then we all know and the things it can do can be dangerous. So believe only what benefits you and don't put so much belief in the things you fear most. |

Ok, first of all, if the devil is walking around possessing folks because they're inviting him and his peeps in by sinning or occult activities or whatever, watching movies with the biggest bugaboo in the fundie arsenal -gasp! those evil gays - then what is the freaking point? By the rules of your own nutty doctrine he already has them so why bother bringing attention to himself? Isn't he supposed to be a trickster? Making a fundie think a "heathen" is possessed? I can do that without any sort of supernatural help so, what's up, Bible Squad? Can anyone give me an answer without saying something stupid?
Also, props to the "abuse" comment. I can't tell if you believe everyone who is disturbed from abuse is lying and/or possessed or whether you disbelieve anyone is ever abused to begin with. Surely you are not saying that being abused can bring the devil into someone. If that's happening, maybe we should all have a sit down with God and ask what's going on there because that could not be more horrifying.
And why is it that super religious people are completely unable to make a point about anything without bringing up homosexuality? Good job on putting it under two of your causes because everyone knows that when I'm with another guy I'm really just working up the nerve to approach that goat. Whose mind goes there? Your sexuality is backward to me, but you don't see me accusing you of being a sheep lover. And why are you people spending so much time thinking about how gay men have sex? Oh, maybe it's the devil. That rascally satan. My mistake. Get thee to an exorcist.
And, tragically, some of these comments are just as ridiculous as the article. Rosa, if your son is still possessed then why are you giving anyone else advice on how to fix it? Shouldn't you, maybe, actually do something that works before you start informing others?This is where I pray. Please let someone help these poor children who are unfortunate enough to have parents who would rather use holy water and prayer cloths instead of sound medical advice that might actually help. |

Well this seems a bit silly to me but the part that particularly bothers me is bringing up homosexual acts. If that is the case is wearing cotton with wool an invitation for the devil? Or a woman cutting her hair short? The context of the homosexuality reference was that you shall not behave in customs similar to the Egyptians, who had paganistic orgies to worship there "false idols."
And Rosa have you ever considered your son might be schizophrenic? Have you taken him to be evaluated because hearing voices is generally a sign. |

I have to say none of this is true, so you can all have a sigh of relief. I use the lord's name in vain, have been abused, have used a ouija board, tried spells and most of the other stuff mentioned. I am also an atheist. And I have never been possessed by demons, nor do I know anybody else who has been possessed by demons. So therefore I don't believe in it and will continue to live my godless life without a care in the world. |

i have a son that is still possed to this day.. when he was a child he hated church. and he didn't like to be prayed for by laying your hands on him...when he was about 3 years old he ws in the bed room and he started screaming and crying i ran to him and ask what was wrong.. he had his hands over his ears screaming make him shut up ! make him shut up ! i said who ? he said the devil ! he is under my bed and he is tekking me to go get a knife and stab you with it ! i know he didn't make this up he was to little and we never spoke of the devil or demons... one question for you is are you saved ? have you accepted jesus in your life? if you are then he is your son, you can take him away from the enemy ! pray over him get you a cloth anoit it with olive oil... buy some and then pray over it asking gods blessings and anoting upon the oil... then take the oil and put it on a small rag. what i did was pin this rag inside my husbands pillow... let me tell you the devil is real and he knows the power of god! the very first night he laid on that pillow he tossed and turned and was not able to sleep... he ran his hand inside the pillow and pulled the prayer cloth out ! and cussed me out ! so be ready for enemy to attack he doesn't want to let your son go ! when he say he doesn't believe in god that is the enemy talikg.. hope this helps.. |

i think that being possed by a demon is real. i beleive in demon posesion. i have a cousin from new zealand who went to a cemetery
and she didnt wash her hands and she smelt like a dead person.

I have a question. At the age of 15, in the middle of the night I woke up and I was levitated out of my bed, wall hangings were eye level, I could not move, it was like I was paralyzed. I started crying and suddenly I was back down in bed. I saw a light in the hall under my door. I ran to the door and followed the light and then I found my mother praying on her knees with an opened bible in our dining room. I asked her what she was doing and she replied "I'm praying for you because I feel you are at the age where you might get into trouble." I began to weep even more and I told her what happened and asked her what had happened to me. She said she didn't know for sure. Question: Was this a demon or was it God at war with the devil for my soul? |
