We also had months of endless messages, contacts with dish related to the "not so smart card" finally fed up with the company they offered to UPS the card, we received the card did the download with the company and 'kaplooie' the system quit our TV quit working and we were left with no reception and no TV. The serviceman told us that the smartcard wasn't programed for our receiver, so guess we pay for a new TV and lousy service. |

Is it mantadory we use the smart card? This was something we were not aware of at the time we had Dish Network installed. We have been more than a little irritated with Dish Network and would appreciate it if the notice would no longer show up on our screen. What are the consequences if you removed this? We have contacted Dish Network prior to air our dislike of thie network but may be moving soon so would prefer to remain with this network until that time, however, this will depend on you taking care of this irritating problem. |

We updated our Dish system to the new SmartCards several days ago with no problems. We have been watching television daily since. However, last night, one of our receivers went out. We could not get it to reload. It gave a message that our SmartCard was not installed properly. Since we were watching something that we did not want to miss, I replaced the new SmartCard with the old card that had been in my receiver prior to the new SmartCard. The system came back on line and I have great reception. Please advise. The defective card number is: S 19 4518 9917 34. |

I have not received my Smartcard Yet. the first time I called you said you mailed it out on 01/25/09 and the secound time I called was on 02/06/09 and you said I should receive it in about 5 to 7 days. Well it is now 02/18/09 and I still have not seen it and Now One of my TV's are down and can only watch TV in one room now. I am getting very up-set and if my other Tv goes down before I receive my smartcard you will force me to look some where other then the Dish Network. |

Well you guys did it. as I said in my comment on 12/12/09. :sorry for the inconveince. After all of the years that we have been customers of Dish Network, you have finally made us so upset that we are going with FIOS Verizon.When my wife's caregiver got up and turned on the TV and NOTHING, that us when we made up our minds. And when I talked to the people that we bought our service from, told me that when they got a check from your company, and it BOUNCED. A RED LIGHT came on. As I said the other day it will us saying "SORRY FOR THE INCONVEINCE." We will be sure NOT to recommend Dish network to any of our friends or relatives. |

Your smart card does NOT work in our system, we have installed 3 cards and each time the card messes up our reception. We even got a new reciever (against better judgement) that did not even work. When we BOUGHT our system, a year ago.it had a internal card. had NO PROBLEM. But with your card we have had nothing but trouble. We have called your Customer service reps so many times we cannot count them, and we get no where with your reps. All we get is "Sorry for the inconvenience." It is like they are reading off a script. Any more inconveince and you won't have any inconveneince. We are tired of getting the run around from your representives. |
