Learning Tae kwon do

Taekwon-do is Korean for foot (tae), hand (kwon) and way, or art (do). It can thus be rendered, "the art of fighting using the hands and feet."

ski-boy i love this matial art ive been learning this art for nearly 4 years and ive only had to use it once and thats only with in self deffence i only fight if im protecting friends and family but if i had never learn't this art i would not be alive anymore because i had 3 poeple around 14 15 trying to beat me up so i was hit a few times but i took all 3 down even though i was very lucky because i was only a 7th cup (brown tag) so i think i had some luck that day so i really do like the matial art and i will keep learning the art of tae kwon do ... 7/7/2008
