Tyler I think this is very helpful. My wife and I just found out that we are expecting our 3rd and she couldn't find anyone to tell her if green tea was bad for the baby or not. 1/29/2010
A.K. And to the lady with the child with Hypotonia. Hypotonia is largely a genetic disorder and has nothing to do with you drinking tea. If that were the case then I sure there would be a huge problem with it in asian cultures but it occurs about as frequently as here.. 12/21/2009
A.K. i think that this paper was terribly written and is the result of a person with little education in medical nutrition. To site other blogs as sourses of educational information is a show of the level of qualification this person had to write this article. The only valid sourses for an article of this nature, should come from scientific journals or medical journals. If you can't get ahold of these, or don't know how, then you are not qualified to write an article that pertains to medical health. 12/21/2009

Tina Wells How is this a good news regarding tea/coffee and pregnancy? Drinking, even a half cup of coffee, increases the chance of miscarraige and low birth weight! So your conclusion should be that women should avoid. That Danish study is cited by Doctors to recommend pregnant women to avoid caffeine all together (including decaffeinated ones as they are worse) 3/3/2009
Santana It was informative but wasn't exactly what i wanted to know. I wanted to know what the effects of green tea supplements were for a pregnant women and what problems could arise with the baby. 4/25/2008
Mom During my second pregnancy, I drank a lot of green tea for the first trimester without knowing the harm since Green Tea has very little caffeine. However, my second child was born healthy, but now at 15 month is diagnosed with hypotonia. The only thing I did differently between the first and second child is the excessive tea drinking. 3/14/2008
