Well, it seems difficult enough to believe many of those things which ARE included in the Bible, without being asked to also believe those (such as Rapture) which are not. |

why would God command that the chosen bare a mark to be protected if they were going to be lifted away to heaven during the tribulation period?Rev.3:10 says "I will keep you from the hour" not "I will remove you from the earth". This is not "PROOF OF A PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE", It is proof of the protection of God given to the righteous. "Do not harm the land, the sea or the trees until until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of God" Rev 7:3 This is the mark of the protection of God, why would they need to bare a mark of protection if they were not in jeopardy to the "woes" of the tribulation? Why would God have commanded that the locusts harm only those who did not bare the seal of God on their foreheads if the chosen ones with this mark were already gone?? Through out the Bible, old and new, the recurring theme is that the evil will be removed from the Earth not the righteous. You see this with Noah and the flood as well as the Sodomites. Noah was not raptured away to the ark and removed from the earth, he built the ark and the flood took place ON EARTH. he was not floating around in a Heaven in a giant boat waiting for the water to recede. The evil were removed from the earth not the good. Thes. 4:16-17 does not say that we will all be caught up together BEFORE TRIBULATION . rev 22;18 "I warn everyone who hears the prophecy of this book:if anyone adds anything to them, God will ad to him the plagues described in this book" The "philosophy" of the rapture did not even come to being as a popular theory until the early 1800s so what was the plan for Christian salvation for the 17 centuries before this? |

1. Why do you think that John 14 refers to those Christians "raptured" as opposed to refering to all believers in eternity? 2. Why do you think that Rev. 3:10 means Christians will be removed from the earth prior to the trouble? Cannot God protect us while we are still on the earth, or even have a sheltered place prepared for us--what I mean is, aren't there many ways he could "keep us from that hour of trial" even by means of a remote cave dwelling or even a space station, if you insist that the earth itself will be destroyed or something that gargantuan? I don't see it that the ONLY way he could save us is by the rapture, but I do think that by saying this is THE ONLY WAY he could save us, you are limiting God. --CJ |
