Health Problems in the German Shepherd Dog

If you are buying a German Shepherd puppy it is important to ensure that you only purchase a healthy dog from a reputable breeder and a good idea would be to contact the breed council who should be able to provide you with a list of such breeders.

Amber We recently took in a puppy and have had him for a few days. He is about 10 weeks old. Today we were driving back home and so we put Snuggles in the back of the truck. He quickly jumped out while the truck was giong about 65 km. He landed on his back and side a little bit and we fear he may have broken ribs. There was some bleeding from his mouth but were not sure what thats from. He's also in pain when we pick him up a bit and has a minor limp. The important matter I need help on is his shaking. His whole body tremors and shakes and we don't know what we should do. After the incident happened we gave him a bath to help soothe his aches but im not sure if that helped. If you can give us any advice that would be greatly appreciated. We'll bring him up to the vet asap but until it opens do you have any advice? Thanks again. 4/29/2007
