This is a very moving piece of poetry, whether it was based on a real case or not. Unfortunately things like that DO happen in the real world (I've never worked a case that bad, thank God, but I have seen photos when I went through Military Police training 18 years ago) and people, even parents,are capable of all kinds of cruelty.
As I said, I think this was a very moving and disturbing work and it just about made this 37 year old Soldier/policeman cry; I just couldn't get the picture of that little girl out of my mind and, having four daughters of my own, couldn't help just wanting to reach out and help her. |
