A.W.A. I only need 1 question to prove religion wrong: why were there gods before Christianity and other modern-day beliefs? It should be noted that gods come and go through human history and if in the future people are as guilible as today, sadly, they will keep coming and we'll keep getting hearded about blindly like sheep; fumbling in ignorance. You could not prove religion exists outside your own head. P.S. God is sure not good with money for being an omnipresent being of infinite scope, especially at mass. 6/21/2008
Brett Reeder 17 I wholey agree. The bible can prove itself wrong. It is a book of hypocracy and fantasy with no viable evidence to back up its claims. It would be more fitting to pray to a god of war, greed, hate, and lust than to believe that a man rose from the dead. I mean praying to a tree is more rational (atleast it is real.) Moreover, we should be stepping towards the future and out of ignorant scams such as religion and focus on knowledge and the truth through evidence; isn't that the goal of science anyways? 6/21/2008
LogiclyTransend Agree. I preach this all the time, "Magics not real" to put it simply. You ever delve deep enough to realize everything is chemically predisposed and that freedom of choice is impossible? You're born and then you simply react, just an unwinding unfolding logical sequence of reactions, from life to death, everything in this vacuumless universe is. 6/18/2008
Abstract Oh, and to Sean. You condemn the religious of being followers, mindless sheep. I've heard your kind before, those who exclaim the tendency for pathetic following of religious principles. You yourself are nothing more than a follower, a slave as well to this scientific world of "understanding". I wonder how many ideas are actually your own, sheep. 4/11/2008
Abstract Simpler, indeed, to say that God does not exist. However, simplicity is hardly the grounds on which you can base your idea. After all, you've just as easily disposed of the simple "God made everything" by replacing it whith a number of scientific physical explanations, many of which could be deemed confusing to the average person. Just as you cannot prove that God exists, nor can you prove that he does not, by means of science or logic. That is, unless you can demonstrate a deeper understanding than you've given. 4/11/2008
de4th Agreed. Completely. 2/24/2008

Trina very interesting, makes sense...but i think there might be a bit of both, the human body is a spectacular thing, its hard to believe that us beings the body so conplex and intellegent came from somthing as simple as a rib bone...or it did, fact is we well never know, and thats all, but people dnt like this 'not knowing' therefor there are constant battles of scientific research and religious explanations. 12/19/2007
A Thought P.S I meant to say that people who interpret scripture literally and then stick to that interpretation, no matter how much obvious evidence proves their beliefs are wrong, are ignorant and foolish. I also want to clarify that I meant that the Bible doesn't support the earth being created in 6, 24-hour days, because that is neither scriptural, or scientific. Most religions, like the popes that condemned science and signed concordats with Hitler and other sadistic world leaders, are hideous representations of all those who claim to be Christian. It's a shame that horrible, hypocritical, wicked wormwood like those people have brought so much disillusion and pessimism toward the Bible in general. 11/20/2007
Just a thought I find this blurb to be very ignorant in itself. I don't just say that because I am a Christian either. Most "Christian" religions and their members are corrupt, ignorant, and hypocritical so I agree with you to an extent. However, you really blasted the Bible as being a pointless book and you are overly critical of it. You interpret the scriptures very literally. A circle can be interpreted as a sphere. The bible is not a scientific textbook, that is true, but when it comments on scientific matters, it is always accurate. Other scriptures, like Job 26:7 talk about how the earth 'hangs on nothing', proving people that came thousands of years later (like the Galileo you praised) that the earth is suspended in empty space, not held in place by tangible objects like crystal. Also, Ecclesiastes 1:7 describes the water cycle, something man had no concept of for centuries. In the law given to the Israelites, there were quarantine laws that were way ahead of their times, laws of cleanliness the surrounding nations knew nothing about at the time. You condemn all religious beliefs in your statement, but you also include the Bible in that. The religiously ignorant people who just say "God made it" to explain life are foolish and ignorant, but so are the people that just dogmatically condemn the Bible without peering into its contents. Genesis 1:1 says God created the heavens and the earth and THEN it talks about how the earth was prepared for life. Logically Genesis 1:1 coordinates with science because for the light of the distant starts to reach our naked eyes, they'd have to exist for millions, even billions of years. People that interpret all scripture and then just use that as an excuse ( ie: the earth and universe were created in 6 literal 24 hour days, because obviously it wasn't) don't really study the bible and they just listen to what their priest tells them. Sometimes the Bible refers to unspecified periods of time as a "day". For example, after the account of the earth's creation, the bible calls all of the creative days collectively, "one day". You should really use your mental faculties before you ignorantly condemn ALL religious beliefs as being false, irrelevant, and "ignorance". Such statements are ignorant in themselves. Plus, if "forward thinking" includes the depressing, meaningless, and thoughtless direction people are going in, I'd rather stay behind and feel a true purpose and joy in life. The bible tells us why we are here and what our purpose is. We have a spiritual need as people and that need must be satisfied for us to enjoy life (Matt. 5:3). Sometimes it's nice to just smell the roses rather than try to explain how photosynthesis worths. Science is agreeable to the Bible, and when one truly believes that way, science only adds to faith. Romans 1:20 says God's qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, so that his Godship is inexcusable. Really, science only helps me to appreciate the qualities God must have. 11/20/2007

Sean I think religion and the belief in god is a strongly held dogma by people who are prone followship. They are people who wish to be lead and believe thought and direction should come from someone else. They do not wish to think for themselves, come to their own conclusions. They are sheep for the heardsman to sheppard where they will. The fact that the heardsman are rabbi's, priests, and clerics may be because relgion can provide convienent answers. The problem is a convienent answer is not necessarily a right answer. Science has brought us such wonders because we choose to question and think, to look at a problem and try to find answers that are provable and based on evidence and repeated experiement. If people of faith and religion were true to their faith they would give up cars and planes becasue these are things of science. When they were cold the would pray to god to bring them fire, to carry their people to a new land. We scientists will build satalites jets and horriculture and build our world based on tenants of thought and experimentation. We will mold the world based on the laws of nature physics and hard work. All those of religion should move to another world and pray for their sustanance pray for their transportation and heat. I wonder which civiliazation will reach the stars first, which will thrive in the light of understanding and which will fall to the darkness. 10/3/2006
