Tanja Great article,

I also found out about this styling wax called "Wax Down" on the website for Take Down Hair Products that you can put on your cornrows so they wont get really frizzy as well.

I put the wax down on then my wrap at night, then in the morning my cornrows look really smooth. Even if you sleep wild.

cheers

Carter Yeah. i have curly hair and my hair is about 3/4 inches long and my hair is lookin fresh for about 5 days, then after that it looks frizzy and crap. And i wrap it up at night and i don't wash it because my hair would frizz up right after it hits water....and i oil my scalp a lot to keep it from itching...so yeah. 9/10/2006
Victoria this is not true. cornrows only abuse your hair if they a braided tightly. some people have conrows or braids in for over a year and their hair perfectly healthy. also you do not need a professional hair-dresser to braid your hair. my mum does it and its better than some hair dressers. i do suggest if you want very professional and complecated cornrows or braids you do go to a hairdressers as they do know how to treat your hair properly. if you have Black hair it is best to go to a hairdressers specially for Black hair. this is because most normal hairdressers (even professionals) are inexperienxed with Black hair and only know how to handle Caucasian hair because it is easier. Normal hairdressers that handle Black hair can damage it greatly and let it fall out. so please do your research first. its for your own good! 8/16/2006
