Steve Orpin I was a ten year old lad in 63 when I first heard the Beatles,and was forever hooked!True Beatle fans I think always saw their honesty through their music,and knew instinctivly that The Fabs were one of a kind.John Lennon I felt never lived up to his promise of musical legacy in the 70's,there were exceptions of course,but on the whole his output was poor,compared to his 60's genius.Even so,fans such as me,just admired and liked the man,because he put himself on the line with his beliefs and stance on world peace,although naive in reality,our generation knew that he was really trying to reach out,and that he did.John said 'Before Elvis there was nothing' well to a young lad like me in the 60's before The Beatles there was nothing too.They were teh real deal and no one else came close 10/11/2008
