bib no way, more and more people are surfing and spear fishing in the sharks garden, so what do you expect.if someone gets attacked in false bay you cant blame the boats in gansbaai.this is just the way of the ocean. people r just too hysterical.more people drown.any how there is always chum in the water. 5/29/2006
bobo i used to work on these boats, and conditioning is rubbish, there is always chum in the water. the sharks have always been here, long b4 cage diving. its just that people are more aware now. what does concern me is the physical abuse the sharks suffer by banging against the cages, hitting the motors, there is also danger as i have seen of the sharks physically getting tangled in the roap and going into shock and dying. there has been a near case.not only that, the amount of people especially in summer going to see these magnificient animals,is becoming a cattle run 18 tourists on some boats, so things become a rush, the people crowd dangerously round the shark wrangler,i,ve seen people nearly being hauled over by the rope.the boats are getting too big as the operators get greedy. 5/29/2006
