How many more rights or customs are we going to allow to be taken away from us?

Elizabeth I agree completely. I'm fifteen and doing a school report on how America is taking away our Christian background. Our beliefs. And it boils down to our rights. There is so much evidence that this nation was founded on Christianity; you cannot deny it. Our currency, our national monuments ie.: Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, statues that are all over Washington. Then we have our Founding Father's documents and speeches. They all referred to "Nature's God" in some form. Every single president, including Barack Obama has used God in his speech. It's quite astonishing how the atheists and non-religious people think they can take over when this country was clearly founded on a belief in God. 3/4/2009
Tomcat You got a backbone Candida. I like that. The enemy is using our "Bill of Rights" against us. The thing I can't understand is. How come these non-believers of Christmas isn't throwing away there money here. It has the word "God" printed on it. God help us all. 12/11/2007
Tom Lyons I agree completely. When I was in the Vietnam war even the enemy showed respect for christmas. Our country is the only one that isn't allowed to say or utilize the word "Merry Christmas" in our heritage. Who says so?. Who do they think they are dictating to americans that "Merry Christmas" is included with the "N" word, the "F" word etc. Who are we voing for in this country. Communist? Who are these so called lawmakers and judges that think they can push us around like peasants. How come noone is standing up and supporting our freedom of speech and religion? Guess the Bill of Rights is only for those who hate God and this country. They can twist it around to interpret the way they want it to read. I made my little mark in this country. I am very angry. I will not sit back and do nothing about this cowardly and unprecedented enactment. We must and will get these people responsible out of office. America is under fire right here. Schools are not allowing children to make any Christmas pictures or sing religious songs. I know of two big merchants that dictate to there employees not to greet the public or customers with the words "Merry Christmas" because it would be offensive. To who? They must say "Happy Holiday" I no longer patronize any establishment that promotes that kind of behavior. Now that is offensive to me and you. We can't just talk about this on the internet. How come the churches don't do anything about it. I'm losing faith in my church. We all know it's wrong to deny the Christ. It's exactly what's happening. I must stop. I'm getting more angry than I can bare. I'm just repeating what you said and again myself. I feel sorry for our children. You wonder why there are massive murders in schools and suicides. God isn't allowed . How can He protect our children if we don't stand by Him and support Him. Even Russia believes in Christmas and celebrates it as the birth of Christ. 12/11/2007

Deanna Any cultural tradition that promotes unity, peace and love should be respected and tolerated, including Christmas. 12/23/2005
Randi Ok I am not a Christian, but I still celabrate Christmas. Christmas is a time to celabrate the joy and happiness in life. The way that I see whats going on is that they are trying to take religion out of everything that most people do things for. I work with many different people of just as many religions. Yes we joke about the others but nobody takes offense to it. As a child I learned from my mom about all holidays the way she knew them. Every since the guy from California had a fit about his daughter saying God in the pledge of allegiance at school religions have been getting thinned out of everything slowly 12/15/2005
