If you want the REAL story, find Family Defense Network of Ohio on the web. You'll see that the social worker in this case reported dimensions of an ordinary dog crate, and allowed the judge to think that the word "cages" referred to beds. From there it has all been blown out of proportion by a media desperate for scintillating tales. The kids' beds were ENCLOSED BUNK BEDS which are available from special-needs medical-care suppliers for lots of $$$$ for exactly the reasons this family needed them. Social workers abducted the children based on their opinions of what is appropriate, NOT on Ohio law. These parents have worked with the children for years and know what helps them. The social workers know nothing about these children and care nothing for them, or else they would have left them with their loving parents. All the progress the parents have made with these children, to develop security and a conscience in them, has been undone by social workers zealous only to justify their jobs. |

They need to be punished for what they have done to these children. They should have never taken them. Kids with special needs are difficult to take care of and if you are doing it for the money please leave them alone. I pray that God have mercy one you. |

Hey Krystina! Wow, I bet you found this site from that post on the foster message board. How funny. It makes me mad also. And greatly frustrated. We should be attorneys for child services someday! |

Attorney Sherman needs to keep their mouth shut about thinking Jenna made up the alligations! The attorney was not at the home, and did not wittness any of the life. It isn't as common for alligations to be false rather than true. You can not state some one's claimes were false, unless you have SOLID evidence! |

I am a foster kid, and if ANY foster or adoptive parent kept me in a cage or any of the other kids, I would sue for everything they had. Thats ridiculous. Why could'nt they have just put alarms on the bedroom doors? Duh! Ask them that. I'm such an advocate for myself and other kids, that makes me so mad. Krystina Kessler

I am appauled at how something like this could happen. I've known a few couples who've adopted children and it's a LONG process. I don't know how 11 children with special needs could've been placed in this type of environment and how nothing was done about it until now. |
