Ashley In my opinion, I think that those police officers need to go to jail for a long time. There was no reason for any of that! Im sorry but even if the guy was resisting (which I think he wasnt) but if he was cops are trained to take someone down by other ways!! You dont punch people over and over! Thats just cruel expecially since he was an older man!!!! That just goes to show you that cops think they have all the power. If it want for that video tape the whole thing would have not even gone to court! 3/30/2006
micaah the police officers are dumb and need to stop thinking they can just kill people whenever 10/18/2005

Khadra I watched the footage, and I can't believe that what the police was doing. It was very scary and sad. I believe the cops are very racist and shouldn't have public service job. 10/13/2005
nika I watched this footage first thing monday morning. To me it didn't look like as though the older gentleman was resisting at the time he was being punched in the head. I t seemed to me that they had him faced against the wall with his hands behind his back. ( how much resisting could he do in this position?)
please correct me if i am wrong.. This whole scene really brought a tear to my eyes, he was an elderly man... i have one question.. If this man was an elderly caucasion man and it were three african-american officers beating him. Would they have still took the victim to jail after being released from the hospital, and what consequences would the officers face???

Andrea Brown Oh My God, I am so outraged at the video I have seen of this beating... what a discusting thing to do to another human and from people whom are there to protect and serve us no less. I have read that their "excuse" is that they (the officers) are worn down by the stress of the huricane after math. My question then is why are you inflicting more pain on another human that is going through the same tradgedy. What a sad race we have become. To think other countries look up to us and want to live the way we do. We become closer to their horrible ways of living every day!! What a shame, what a discrase we all are becomming. 10/12/2005
