DES If there is any place on earth that does not require the services of modern architects it is the area of Rome inside the Aurelianic walls. This hallowed ground has been ravaged enough in the past 1500+ years and it is not unprogressive to dread any more intervention. The single advantage of another large scale project would be the discovery of some important archaeology but this in itself would not justify such an action. 5/16/2006
