MOVING TO CANADA'S A JOKE...the Economic, Military, and Social Integration of North America

Eh? Nothing against the Canadians—yet her military’s wholly in NorthCom (USA, Canada, and Mexico military cooperation—big time); or, if you consider them a leading light in NAFTA (which they are); and, socially, where they tend to be far more progressive than the lower 48 . . . listen, Canada’s complicity is as rife as that of the USA in the formation of the No. Am. Fed. Union (NAFU, which rhymes with SNAFU: Situation Normal, All Fouled Up).

Krieger I can appreciate the sincerity in your tone--again, reeally do. But as a member of Canad'as First Nations I am a bit flaberghasted as to your response!

The "development" whereof you speak . . . is it not offensive to the original peoples of North America? How in the world can the virtual "development" a.k.a., "exploitation" (in many, many cases) be all that beneficial to Canadians of the First Nations?

It appears--though further exchange might enlighten me--that my metaphor of the frog may be true?

Anyway--thanks for confirming my worst suspicions--D.W. Krieger

Bill Simon North America is my home and sacred land. I am Lnu, more commonly known as a Mi'kmaow (MicMac). Our people have occupied these lands for tens of thousands of years and we will continue to do so for tens of more thousands of years. For us, this continent is our lifeblood, and since contact, we have given millions of lives to protect it and continue to nuture it. The land holds our ancestors bones and the skys are filled with our ancestors spirits. Other peoples have tried to steal these sacred lands from us for well over five hundred years by waging wars and practicing genocide against us, and yet we continue to exist and live on our lands.

So for the sake of arguement, I can agree that North America should be considered as an intergrated free market with common laws to make it easier for future development of a more stable economy for everyone.

Krieger Eh? What did you say? Listen, Mark, I have no problems with you folks up in Canada--NONE! I wish you well in the American New World Order System--really well. Much like the frog (no offense to the French-speaking Canadians) who enjoys the warmth of the sauce pan and water . . . gradually, gradually he's cooked! But it felt so good warming up--wake up, it just got a lot hotter! Globalism achieves one thing--ignorance and poverty; but, one thing's for sure . . . the richies up in Canada love these trade barriers falling all over the place . . . oh, and sorry about them handguns we keep bringing into Canada and all them killings in Toronto . . . after all, just spreadin' the cheer . . . have a Happy New Year too! 12/30/2005
