Aramaeans, Syrians, Syriacs, Assyrians or Chaldaeans?

Many scholars confuse the terms Syria and Assyria. To offer to our readers a pertinent refutation of this confusion, which at times has political backing and targets, we re-publish integrally an excellent contribution by a young Aramaean scholar, John (Yuhannun) Messo.

Fvck Muhamad Arameans completely assimilated into Assyrian society long before the fall of the Assyrian empire. It was just a nomadic tribe. The only reason you want to push for an Aramean identity is so that Assyrians will not push for their historic homeland which includes villages in Turkey. You Muslim piece of sh1t. 1/24/2009
