Joe These are some super great suggestions, especially about allowing whole wheat bread to rise plenty long. Another suggestion...sweeten w/doctorgrandmas delight vs. sugar. You'll still need a pinch of sugar to kick start the yeast, but so sweet with delight which has been a blast to bake with. Most sugar replacements taste ewww or don't bake well dang it! 5/11/2009
