Hurricane Katrina may not be as catastrophic as anticipated but it is far, far worse than at first reported. The levees of Lake Pontchartrain are giving way. Martial Law has been declared. Total evacuation is being considered. New Orleans is under siege.

Ray I wonder how Paul feels eighteen months later, as Europe and America suffer in the deadliest heat wave in recorded history. Not everything can be blamed on global warming but we need to accept that continuously pumping toxic gas into our air has consequences. 8/5/2006
Paul So is everything in the world that's tragic to be blamed on global warming? The Tsunami was not casued by global warning nor was the Quake in Pakistan and the rise in Gulf temperatures have been miniscule. Why don't you at least consider the explanations given by other scientist that we happen to be in a natural cycle of global events that have repeatedly happened for thousands of years. And if Global warming is indeed here how do you explain the extreme frigit conditions experienced the last few winters???? 12/25/2005
amy i feel really bad for everyone that lost there stuff over there and i say prayers every day for them, god bless them all and i hope they will be able to have new homes and the things they lost!as for the people that lost family i am sorry with all my heart and those people will always be in your heart and by your side!please everyone over there stop the killing and hurting people they did not expect this and it shouldn't of happened you will all get through this 9/10/2005

Maria I, think that it is a wake up call to the people of New Orleans alot of Voodoo is practiced there and it could be GOD'S way of saying I'VE had enough..on the news it shows alot of the people being rude towards the help and the should be thankful it didnot become a Atlantis...the people need to be alittle more prayful and less rude. 9/2/2005
