Erin Absolutely awesome! Thank you so much for the advice... it worked for one of my red carpet stains that had been sitting for months! 2/21/2009
Dustin The circular dry foam method is the best way to clean carpet. This is according to the Nationwide Consumer Testing Institute. The only reason carpet manufacturers want you to use hot water extraction is because it dissolves the glue that holds the carpet together and damages the carpet causeing you have to replace the carpet sooner. Why else would Shaw recommend hot water extraction and Du Pont recommend circular dry foam.THATS A FACT. 10/10/2008
Nita Thank you so much for this wonderful tip. =) I had tried a new item called p.o.d from Woolite, Oxi-Clean and even Tide laundry soap. All of these came with recommendation, but they only lightened the color. (red Kool-Aid) Within minutes I could see the red starting to come into the white towel. I only left it on for about 2-4 minutes at a time, and what a difference. I am going to try it a few more times and see if I can get those last little dots out. Again, thanks! 9/21/2006
