Katherine I worked for Chick-fil-A for two years. It was the most rewarding job I've ever had, even though it is "Fast Food". Most people would say they're hate to work at a fast food restaurant their entire lives, but it's actually feasible with these guys. The work atmosphere is exhillerating, fun, prosperous, and uplifting. And I believe we reflected that atmosphere to every customers that walked through our doors. Our main focus was never "making money", of course, it came with the territory, but what our GM and Operator always expressed to us was people come first, after God of course. Our goal was to please people, and if we sold a little chikin in the process, that was fun too. But looking back on it all now, and having moved on from my college days working at Chick-fil-A, I would gladly go back to those days and that job. And now, being on the other side of the counter, I know that the things that this enterprise incorporates, are more important than money, long hours, and big sales. What really matters, in any business is the way you do business, the way you treat people, customers and co-workers alike. Chick-fil-A has really got things figured out. And as for Truett, he's an amazing gentleman. I had the privledge of meeting him a few years back. You can really see that his business is a reflection of him and who he is on an every day basis. 4/28/2006
