shirl pet odors can be treated with peroxide. if the urine gets into the wood under flooring, clean the floor with peroxide, let dry, then seal the area with white shellac. the shellac creates a barrier that stops the smell from penetrating thru the carpet and pad. be sure to peroxide the pad and carpet and let dry. 12/2/2009
