The Relationship between Ear Infection and Sinusitis

A cold, allergies, coughing, and sneezing can all be an influence in sinusitis. However, the fact that these can be an influence in ear infection is not commonly known. The reason that sinusitis and ear infection are related is that the sinuses and the ear are connected by a tube in the inner ear called the Eustachian tube.

steve Often times the fungus that empowers the ear infections and sinusitis can be the real underlying problem. I found some stuff that kills fungus and bacteria that you really ought to try. The antibiotics don't kill the fungus and that's the real problem. You need to kill both. You just spray this stuff it in your nose and WOW, it got rid of my nasty sinus infection in about a week. I had tried antibiotics that were specifically prescribed for my sinusitis and I also tried a neti pot (yuk) but just couldn’t get this sinus infection to quit. So I did a search and found this stuff (Sinus Relief) from Nature’s Rite. The only problem is that you have to spray it every 30 minutes. I thought, hey, what the heck, it’s worth a try and every 30 minutes isn’t too bad. I was really surprised how well it worked so I bought their sinus support too. It’s been a good moisturizer with calendula and aloe. It’s herbal ya know. I like herbal stuff. So anyway, you should try this for your sinusitis. It won’t make you have a yeast infection after-words like some antibiotics do. 10/8/2009

viji your comments are in direct contrast to what doctors/physicians recommend - about NOT using q-tips to clean ones' ear. they can inadvertently push wax and along with it infection causing bacterial further into your ears. 12/3/2007
Charles I'm no professional, but your atricle on "The Relationship between Ear Infection and Sinusitis" seems filled with anatomical inaccuracies. First, there are three parts of the ear: outer, middle and inner. The eustacian tube is in the middle ear, not the inner ear. Secondly, there is no natural pathway for water entering the ear canal (OUTER EAR) to travel through the eustachian tube (MIDDLE EAR), except that the ear drum is punctured. If this is so, then the relationship between the ear and sinuses is still not explained.
