Google - The Best Thing Ever or the Internet's Worst Nightmare?

Is Google really the best thing that the Internet has ever seen? Or was it the worst success story in the world?

Storm A single page is roughly around 10kb. If you have around 1000 pages on your website only about 10,000 kb would have been used. Thats about 10 megabytes. The lowest of low webhosts share at least 5gb of bandwitdh with you. So this is 10/5120mb of bandwith used. Google doesn't use up much sir. Plus it has helped billions in the past few years. 9/11/2009
johnny lmao loser no one uses search, thats why ur web got there loner google is the best. who cares if u cant afford 1 byte of bandwidth 9/11/2009

Joe S. Abe Smith, all you really have showed us is that you care about where your site shows up on what search engine, and how crappy your computer is if a search engine eats your bandwidth. The simple truth is your probaly just another angered person at google, or someone who wants to feel like your the next big thing by rebeling against something most people enjoy. Remember, you'll only get noticied for so long by this article, then what? Then you'll disappear, no one will remember your article, and we'll go back to the search engine we like, prefer, and enjoy. May or may not be google, but whatever it is, I'm sure google employee's don't go around talking bad about you just because you don't meet their standards. 6/6/2009
James google is amazing because everyone uses it- it doesnt matter about all the technical stuff - as an average consumer google is the best thing ever. Google lists everything in a clear way. You can type in anything you want on google and there will be the exact results you need. ALSO there is google images, probably the second best thing ever - ever heard of MSN images? You are just one of those people who want to feel like an individual so you rebel against anything popular! 10/6/2008
Anonymous YEAH YOUR OPINION AND HARD EVIDENCE IS ALWAYS CORRECT 2/1/2008
Juice Funnily enough, a search for ''the best thing on the internet'' will give you this site as the fourth result. 8/22/2007
Jeff Harris Dude, if any shmuck can submit a website and get it to #23, that says more negative about MSN than positive. 1/31/2007
the truth well...I found this on google. 11/16/2006
Iamreal You're probably the only person to have ever read this that actually cares.
Btw, i happened to find this site with Google, and google happens to advertise on this very site, which probably supports it.

Patrick Lee oh well, i was using Yahoo before Google got popular. The reason i switched to Google was of course Google was quick and all but the main reason was Google wasn't putting advertisements like Yahoo...
These days I read tons of articles how much Google is making and how they are spending like buying a 767 plane... If you say it is a jealousy, it could be. but I stopped using Google. There are a lot of alternate sites out there these days. I like Gigablast. I support it not only because it is as good a search engine as Google, but also i like the idea that one man like Matt Wells could build a system like what corporate giants like Yahoo, Google and MSN spend tens of millions to build.......

I have set IE on every computer in my internet cafe to default search page, Gigablast. Way to go, Matt!

Christian Google is the Best Ever! I am glad I invested 50K in them, I am so happy with their extraordinary performance. 11/4/2005
Aine OMG! Google is the most efficient way to find anything on the web although it may be hard to get your site on there, it is by far the better search engine for web users who are searching for something 10/29/2005
Mr. X I got to this article via google. Does that mean anything? 8/28/2005
JaysSite.com err...:
You're totally wrong ... Googlebot uses relatively little of my bandwidth. It's the MSN bot that is constantly at my site, not googlebot, actually. And most site statistics counters can differentiate between robots and humans. Lastly, there's no such thing as a "premium submission" in Google. If you were talking about AdWords, then you're wrong - AdWords isn't the only way to get on Google's front page.

Ron I think Google is all about Stockholders and they don't give a hoot about users or search results. They changed for the worse. 7/18/2005
HAROLD YOU WON'T GET RESPECT PUSHING MICROSOFT 7/9/2005

fool If you want to pay money to MSN to reach people who are too stupid to change their homepage and too ignorant to use google, than by all means, waste your money. 6/22/2005
