Taking the Pill Could Reduce Women's Libido, Us Scientists Claim

Researchers at Boston University Medical College found that women who take the pill regularly have much lower levels of the hormone that drives sexual desire. The hormone remains suppressed even when they come off the pill.

M I agree. Within a week or two of taking the pill I lost all interest in sex. I took it for two months but then stopped due to the problems it caused. It took another four months for things to get back to normal. I found things went back to normal so there is hope for other users. I am spreading the message to other friends to alert them to this unpleasant and distressing side effect. It certainly causes a lot of stress with one's partner who feels unwanted and unloved and can't understand whats happening. 1/12/2007

Rob this is a good artical and we need to take this more seriously.the reason i begain reading this is because my wife and i are haveing problems with our sex life and i know that thinks were fine before the use of the pill.now im scared that thinks wont go back to normal she was taking the pill for about 3 year and now shes off the pill but the want for sex is not there for her. 1/5/2006
