Arizona Minuteman Project Declared an Unqualified Success

The month-long campaign of the Arizona "minutemen"—volunteers recruited to patrol a stretch of the Arizona/Mexico border to report illegal alien crossings—was extremely successful and brought nationwide attention to the critical problem of illegal immigration.

They cross the border to help improve their lifes and the lifes of their family. people portray them to be harmful people and just her for no good, they do any odd job they can and most jobs that people that live in Arizona dont want to do. Chosin The Border Patrol is doing what Bush and the government is not doing- protecting our country and it's people! The government needs to form a nation wide Task Force to ferret out illegal aliens in this country.First offense- deportation. Second offense- one year in Jail. A year in jail for each offense. If enacated we will see Illegals fleeing back to Mexico. The task force would also be empowered to arrest those that employ illegals, with the same treatment as the aliens. To catch and persecute may be expensive, but not as expensive as allowing illegals to stay. California did a study and discovered that Illegals contributed $150.00 to the GDP, but cost the state $1,500.00 in benefits. There should be no fast track to citizenship, with the exception of men and women who join our military, serve honorably, and then would become eligable for citizenship. 3/17/2007
