| Varada Sharma | Good read. There are two more ways you can make your defect report stand out from the crowd, and enhance its chances of getting fixed. 1. Make a business case. 2. "Show", don’t "tell". Intrigued? Visit effectivesoftwaretestingblog and read make-your-defect-reports-stand-out-in.html to know more. Happy reporting! ~Varada |

| Shruthi | Your Explanation looks great. But we need additional information from you from the scratch. Could you please tell us some informations about the automation test tools like Test Director, QTP , Loadrunner. Also if you can provide some Interview Questions and how we should answer that in a efficient manner it would be great. My contact email id is honeyangelcool@yahoo.co.in |

| Hi Geetha, There is nothing in testing world called 'Screen Shots Bugs' ... actually, the but that you come across ... if you take a screen shot of the error (capture that error condition in picture/image format) so as to be able to present it visually, then that image is called screen-shot of a bug. Let me illustrate it by a simple example, suppose you are asked to TEST the PASSWORD text field on the login window! Logically, you would first check if anything you type, is being displayed as an asterisk or some other password-character! Now, if you enter letter 'A' in the field, and it displays 'A' straight away to the user, then it's a bug (because it is not suppossed to display what the user is typing inn). This condition, you can capture as an image in order to present as a proof of your testing. You can do this by pressing 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard and then 'Control + v' on your microsoft word document. Now, you can send this document as an attachment to the developer for his development/bug fixing. I hope that helps! Regards, |
