| parekhnileshp | Hi Raj, An application is stable if it is behaving as per the requirements. At any point of time, instability of application is characterized by the output/behavior i.e. if application is processing/recognizing different inputs and behaving as per the requirement, then we can say the application is STABLE. At the same time, if every time there is a DIFFERENT problem/behavior (sometimes as per requirement, and sometimes new or same bug at the same step) while running the application which hinders the functionality (as it is critical bug that stops further processing) ... in that case, the system is said to be unstable, it does not matter even if the entire system except for the bug is perfect, what matters is the CURRENT BEHAVIOR OF THE APPLICATION. Hope this helps … if you need further clarification … let me know! Thanks and regards, Nilesh Parekh |

| raj | Hi Nitesh This is Raj I have doubt We will have the test cases as per the priorites say critical high medium and low While executing we will log the bug.Now it happens that a critical test case may fail due to high/low severity bug. But if there are number of such critical test cases which are failing due to high or low bugs for one test step , it will give the impression that the application is not stable as critical test cases have failed but this is not the case Can you please advice me Do you have any article on this rsjosh at indiatimes com |
