| Nasser | Well said , Miss Goswami. I just can't figure out why they are still showing India in poor light. Maybe it's the criteria for any documentories nominating for Oscar Award I think. I was born in India but educated and living in S East since 1968, believe me I've been watching the same thing on tv about India till today. Imagine how I would 've felt. I've made frequent visits to my native and have seen a lot of changes. Amigo, we too drive Chevy here just like you and Dude stop watching documentories, come witness yourself what modern India looks like. It's Incredible India!. | 1/6/2011 |
| Sadhana | Its a wonderful movie! But I do agree with what you said. more proof of the narrow firang mind-set is available 24/7 on the idiot box...Discovery channel for example has always showed india with cattle on the road, loads of ppl walking, all poor and hungry souls, all villages, usually tribal ppl... The west can never understand the orientals..Filthy 'white'brain.. | 9/18/2007 |
| lucky | very good article. this article should open the eyes of the western world of the indian gods | 8/4/2007 |
| V. CHATTERJEE | CNN /BBC makes it a point to show India in poor light , even when the related news dosn't merit so. It is ignorance & arrogance both. | 12/26/2006 |
| Malini | Excellent article there. Hats off to Miss Goswami. She just took the words right out of my mouth. I even had a similar discussion with an American and really she thinks India is all about poverty and conservative culture along with kings etc. The fact that v understand and speak English is by itself so strange for her. Its shameful. Westerners are so under educated when it comes to knowing how other countries are. And we Indians have a farely good knowledge of other countries and their cultures. | 4/19/2006 |
