We could just turn back the evolutionary clock on a chicken the Tyrannosaur's closet relative. Have you ever watched dinosaurs return to life on the Discovery Channel it could happen in 60-80 years we could animals such as the Tyrannosaur, mammoth, dodo, moa , Tasmanian Tiger , saber tooth cats and giant sloth. |

Yes i dont think they they would be able to get out into cities. If they were to get out then they wouldnt get into cities because whoever builds their enclosure would have the sense to put it away from largley populated areas and cities.I think an island would be the best habitat for a dinosaur because even if it did scape, where could it go? I also beleive tat these creatures wont be able to become immune to our weapons. They're still flesh andbone aren't they? |

I think they should try to clone these creatures and make it publicised only by television. If they get out of control. Destroy them. |

I think that Randy is right. why clone a dangerous animal? Does everyone whant to be cased down by the kind of big monster? if so they'er nuts. the big factor is why not just try to find dna of a dino that doesn't eat meat? that would be smart and the only problem with that would be finding the dna and if it gets out of it's habitat that they give him is geting him/her back and geting stepped on. |

i think that if you would want to try to clone a dinosaur, that the t-rex is a very bad first choice. lets not be so stupid. |

Mason Crawford, whhy would you ever think this is a great idea. i agree solely with Quark, we do not know one single thing about dinosaurs but that they were huge animals and were either carnivors or herbavors. Most people would not receive any joy from a cloned dinosaur because half of the people either do not care about it or are to stupid they do not know anything about it. In cloning not everything goes perfect and what happens when a huge dinosaur becomes immune to the weapon we planned to destroy it with if it got out of control. Each and everyday things are changing to survive in its enviroment and we do not know how it would survive in our world today. Cloning a dinosaur is going to be very dangerous and when half our world is killed because people thought it would be "awesome" to create a dinosaur I hope that those people that die are the ones who created it. When this project succeeds, I will not be happy for those people whho created it, because it is just another thing that people will have to deal with in the future and MOST people will not want to even see it. |

Hello, I believe that the commercial use of cloning would be a great, exciting, and unbelievably invigorating experience for all of mankind. I am very positive that all people would very greatly enjoy the company of extinct plants and animals. There are neverending possibilities in the world of today and I believe that anyone can contribute to the unity of mankind. |

I think cloning a t-rex is a bad idea. As scientists, you should know that!!!
Nature set the human race and dinosaurs apart by sevril million years for a reason. You must understand that a single t-rex could wipe out whole cities! And the fact that they lived a long time ago means we may not actully know as much a we should. We're NOT ready for such a huge step. Stop, think, and know that such a powerful being could cost the world many, many lives. We do not know everything there is to know about the t-rex. More secrets that we can imagine remain hidden. We all want to get ahead of ourselves, but it is not the wisest thing to do. You may not listen, because I am just a 12 year old girl in washington. But heed my words, nothing is as it seems. |

I think cloning any dinosaur is both a good, and bad idea. Good because it would take mankind to another level. And bad because if it gets loose it could cause many deaths and could cost the govornment millions.
But how can a mammal give birth to a reptile?
I also think that the cloning procedure should be done on an island so no human life could be threatened. |

I would like to become a biotechnician to help with the re-creation of the dinosaurs. J.P. the book seemed pretty possible, but lots of things probly wouldnt be that way. But I do believe it's possible, I have studied the possibility of cloning an extinct animal for 6 months. It's possible, a long shot though. My theory is that we could simply re-construct the animals egg, breed it through a petri dish. |

Can't u guys figure out the DNA code faster? In Jurassic Park the book, he descirbes how the park had bought a few of these machines that could work the code out for you. And could you not fill in the missing sequence with that of an avian gene? |

CLONE THEM.
And.....I would really....love....to know what specific DNA sequences they have..... |
