| Jen | This book changed the way I look at men. An absolute must-have book for single women! | 11/7/2010 |
| C | Maybe I'm not entirely getting the point that Greg is trying to make. As a man, I have several femal friends. Some of them, I'm "just not that into" by Gregs fairly superificila standards. I don't want to have sex or marry them, but I definately enjoy their company. I never lead them down a path that revolves around my interest in them. I believe that the we have a mutual understanding as to where we stand. I'm not trying to pull one over on any of these women. On the other hand, there's one that I do have feelings for. Once again, according to Greg's standards, I'm "just not that into her". Well, that couldn't be farther from the truth, but I feel like I have to let things blossom naturally. Would I sleep with, or marry, this girl? Yes. However, sex and marriage aren't the only elements that equal a good relationship. I care about this woman. Yet, if I'm not bending on one knee or f---ing her, I obviously want nothing to do with her. Man, Greg, you sure are selling your own gender short. I believe that you should be more mindful of the broad array of emotions that are involved in relationships between the opposite sexes. Unfortunately, it seems that you don't ask any of these "sweet, kind & beautiful" ladies to do some introspection. Women and men can find creative ways to sabotage themselves. They can also find creative ways of placing the blame on some externality. Women shouldn't be afraid to approach men and vice versa. The point is, you might be encouraging a lot women to sabotage their own possibilities: say, just because a man might sometimes fall into one of the predictive "just not that..." categories, that man should be thwarted from a woman's life. Well, that's just as rediculous as a man leaving a woman because she won't sleep with him, becuase that would mean, that "she's just not that into me." | 1/28/2009 |
| Tina | I decided to give it a chance and see what all the hype was. Absolute garbage, in the worst way. I would not recommend that book to anyone who has half a brain. The guy who wrote the book (along with an obviously obedient woman) is a comic who writes for Sex & the City. He points out he does not have a psychology degree, yet explains in the book exactly how a "man's psyche" works. He could not be more than wrong and gives men a bad name. In the book he explains how if a man gives you his number, you should never.. ever under ANY circumstances call him back because he's "just not that into you". Terrible advice like this is given throughout the book with it's exaggerated stories and basically tells women that if you don't get married or if a man doesn't want to get married (no matter what the reason or preference) that he just doesn't want to get married to YOU and to find someone else. image They use trendy power words like "You Go Girl" to elude you from the garbage that is spilled from these pages. I want to find the people who wrote that book and pound them into the ground. It's shocking to me that any women even considers this book great advice and worth any time. This trash will never achieve anything beyond gross generalizations and false hopes to the already weak minded. |
