I didnt get why are you saying no milk to be given. Milk neither contributes to cold nor cough, in fact its supposed to be good for both. |

Worst ideas ever. Garlic necklace? What are they vampires? None of those remedies sound very medically sound. Manufactured chocolate is bolt going to give you child a cold, ridiculous. |

Would be very concerned about putting anything around a childs neck while sleeping! I would think that most parents would agree that you must be sure you child is old enough... |

one way to keep your child away from cough cold the whole season is to take few basil ( tulsi ) leaves .Wash them nicely ,put 2 black pepper in it and crush it till it becomes a paste. Squeeze out the juice from it and put a little honey to it and give your child everyday the first thing in the morning. |

Putting a necklace around the neck of a sleeping child? Never! This is dangerous, as accidental strangulation could occur. Someone should responsibly review this article and remove this "tip". |

there has been a recent study that 50 grams (about 1.5 oz) of dark chocolatecan cure a persistent cough. There is something called theobromine in it that helps. I got this info from Wikipedia. |

I would like to know where the information was taken from. I am not familiar with any research related to avoiding such foods during colds or coughs. Please let me know of any references related to the information in this article Thank you kindly. |

'Stay away from the following food items: If your child is frequently down due to common cold and cough it is best you avoid the following mentioned items. Banana and milk are a strict no. I totally understand that if children are asked to stay away from milk it worries parents to no extent. I would suggest parents put their children on Soy Milk; doing so, you would be giving your child the best of both worlds. Give grapes only in the month of February and March. Reduce the intake of tomatoes, black eyed beans, peanuts, any items made from chic pea flour. Another important take away for all parents is to remember "No Water for 20 minutes after consuming any fruit". 60 years ago In addition to these my mother in India used to tell us to stay away from other MILK PRODUCTS such as Yogurt, BUTTER etc.
