Controversy is erupting over the creation of chimeras—hybrid creatures that are part human, part animal. But the scientists who are conducting such experiments believe the benefits outweigh the ethical dilemma.

Douglas Clark Chimera's huh? You say that this is unexplored biological territory. Well how amusing. It's not that hard people, if it's unexplored then explore it! Find out how it works and learn from it. We are limiting are selves banning such promising reasearch. In fact I find this chimera project very interesting. I mean the possabilities of creating a hybrid species that can be on par with us in intelligence. Yet physically stronger, like a human-cat hybrid. Oh! and by the way dont give me that playing god crap because we humans have crossed that line a very long time ago. 7/6/2005
